I had a car crash with my Megane so for the past two weeks I have been using my R4 as my everyday car. Every day I drive around 200 kilometers since I work in a city not that close to me. The consumption is around 5,8 liters per 100 km. So far no problems at all Greetings from sunny and very hot Bosnia and Herzegovina!

I got my Megane back yesterday. Every time I get to drive the R4 it makes me so proud. In 28 day I did something around 4876 kilometers with no problems at all and the consumption was around 5.8 liters per 100 kilometers.

When you look after and cherish R4 only for little bit, he is giving you back multi time more....

Perfect car........if only more people could understand that........Or ..... maybe better not

I had a guy travelling with me all this time, it was his first time to ride in a R4. He said he was amazed by the simplicity and practicality and yet the car does everything a car should do

My father called me today, he was on the road and the car just stopped. I went to help him, I suspected that there was no fuel but soon we found that there is no spark. Removed the distributor cap and noticed that the points arm is loose. The points were broken. Towed him back home and replaced the points, this was my first. In almost 40 years of owning an R4 this never happened to us.

Points weren't made in China 40 years ago. The materials in after-market parts can be a bit variable. I had a lot of trouble with a rotor arm that conducted electricity to the distributor shaft when it got hot.

Yeah you are right. Everything is cheap and made of plastic. On the other hand while I was looking for spare one in my garage I have found used but good Femsa vacuum

Hi John to hear consumption of ur R4 make me dont know what to do next!!! my R4 consumption is not 5.6lts for 100km.l change point,rotor arm.plugs. may be carb need a repair kit. l wish mine r4 have a good consumption but never
