Hi Mike, I bought my ticket at last year's event when I arrived, so no problem I would say. But if you order in advance you get some goodies, (T-shirt and book and if you arrive on the Friday you can get in earlier).:smile:Regards Brian.
I'm sure they won't turn you away, although if you're in a Citroen.....

Incidentally, are there any plans for us all to meet up (Saturday night maybe) for a beer and bit of Renault 4 chat? If not - what about it?
Excellent idea David. I was going to suggest a group photo too, perhaps on the Sunday morning.

Sounds like a good idea, wouldn't be much point of driving halfway across France if we couldn't stand in the middle of a field and woffle on at each other now is there?

We could do a PM with everyone's mobile numbers on, so we could text everyone, or would that be getting too organised?

Anyone got a route planned from Zeebrugge?, perhaps mostly avoiding motorways if possible?.
Alan.

I can confirm I will be driving to Thenay :)
Probably going via Dover-Calais on thursday night or friday morning, then hopefully joining some of you for the journey to Thenay.

Like Bison I'd rather stick to the Routes Nationales - although Felicia can hit 128km/h (with a good tailwind) - it is scary and besides, you miss all the prettiest scenery zooming by on the Autoroute.

I'm booked on Dover - Calais at 0810 on Friday.

However, I'm thinking that an earlier ferry might be better so if I get to Dover early enough (there are earlier ferries at 05.55 and 07.20) then I will get an earlier ferry. I've a couple of things I could do with doing on the way if I get chance so an extra hour or two might come in handy.

I'm thinking a mix of RN and Autoroutes though - if you avoid the autoroute completely its about a six hour drive, use the autoroutes and it is about four.

My plan is (hopefully) to get to Thenay not too long after 3pm, have a bit of a mooch around, go off and find my hotel then come back at 6ish or something. Thats the (rough) plan anyway.

I'm going to try and get down for the 0810 ferry too, I'm hopefully now bringing my better half with me too! ;)

Cool - I've booked onto the 8:10 P&O Ferry too (it is Friday morning we're supposed to be heading over isn't it?). Planning to mess around in France for a bit afterwards and come back Tuesday 26th.

Right all booked 08:10 ferry on the Friday morning, Judith has to be back at work Monday as she's managed to get special dispensation to get away on the Friday ;)

Pepper, Malcolm, Lobster, Firstandbest - any more on the 0810 Dover/Calais sailing?
I'll ask P&O for some VIP treatment - perhaps a photo-opportunity for them and us?

... or a champagne breakfast with the Captain!

That'd be great!!! Didn't realise you had such contacts ;)

Wouldn't that be excellent? I better give BB a slight polish at the very least!

Malcolm you wouldn't have a spare set of normal wheel nuts anywhere would you please? I'd put a set of steel wheels on instead of the Alloys!

Lol. But if you don't ask ...
May mention that we know Admiral Stanbury. That should open a few doors!

I haven't booked my tickets yet but I'll try to get the same ferry. What about coming back, anyone got plans? What was the rumour about driving up the Champs-Elysée with the Belgian contingent on sunday?
